Buying diamonds in Zurich without trusting blindly
Buying diamonds in Zurich with émin means sitting at a table, not standing in front of a display case, and holding the stone under a loupe yourself. We show you carat, colour, clarity and cut in daylight, not dimmed shop lighting, and walk you through every line on the certificate before you decide.
Lab-grown or natural: both are real diamonds with an independent certificate, usually IGI. The difference lies in how they formed and in the price, not in how honestly we explain them. You decide, we calculate openly.

Why you buy diamonds in Zurich with us
Certified, not just promised
Every larger diamond comes with an independent certificate, usually IGI. Carat, colour, clarity and cut are written down, and you can have them checked again at any time.
A loupe, not sales pressure
You see every stone yourself under a loupe, compared with other sizes and qualities. We never push you toward the bigger or pricier stone just because it carries more margin.
Lab or natural, your choice
We show you both side by side and explain honestly where they differ, in origin, price and resale. The decision is yours in the end.
The 4Cs: what actually matters
Carat, colour, clarity and cut, the so-called 4Cs, drive both price and appearance, but not equally. A great cut often adds more sparkle than a marginally better colour grade, and an inclusion grade invisible to the naked eye should never carry a hidden premium.
We explain the 4Cs calmly, in plain language, and show you on the real stone what a difference on paper means in practice. That way you know exactly what you are paying for, and where you can save without the ring showing it later.

Natural or lab-grown: both are real diamonds
A lab-grown diamond shares the same chemical structure, hardness and brilliance as a natural one, only the origin differs: millions of years underground versus a few weeks in a laboratory. At the same size and quality, a lab-grown diamond costs noticeably less.
A natural diamond remains, for many, the emotionally fitting choice for an engagement ring, and it tends to hold its value more steadily on the open market. Both are right when they fit you. We place both stones side by side and let you compare for yourself.

Frequently asked questions
Yes, chemically, physically and optically a lab-grown diamond is identical to a natural one, only the origin differs. It has the same hardness, the same brilliance, and is graded and certified using the same 4Cs. The only real difference is price, not authenticity.
No, not with the naked eye and not even under a loupe. Only specialised lab equipment can detect the origin, and that's noted on the certificate. Anyone claiming a visible difference is selling you a story, not expertise.
Natural diamonds tend to hold their value more steadily on the open market because supply is limited. Lab-grown diamonds cost less upfront but tend to lose more on resale. We explain these differences openly before you decide, rather than leaving them out.
For every larger stone, yes, usually from IGI, sometimes GIA. Very small diamonds under roughly 0.3 carats are often not individually certified, which is standard in the trade. You still get all the details on carat, colour, clarity and cut from us in writing.
Yes, we show you stones on camera in close-up and send certificates and photos as well. For a final comparison under a loupe we still recommend an in-person appointment, but many clients decide entirely by video.
Yes, we work by appointment only, in person or by video, so we can genuinely take our time with you. Booking takes a few minutes online, and a conversation about diamonds usually takes about an hour.
That's completely normal. We show you diamonds across different price ranges and explain how carat, colour and clarity each change the price. That way you discover for yourself where your budget makes the biggest difference.
