What makes a tennis chain special
The name comes from tennis: in the 1980s a player lost her diamond bracelet mid-match, and the continuous stone look has been called a tennis chain ever since. Unlike a pendant, every single link here carries a stone, set in prongs or a bezel, so the whole chain sparkles evenly.
For that to last for years, the setting has to be right and the stone has to be real. Every diamond at émin comes with an independent certificate, usually IGI, documenting carat, colour, clarity and cut. That way you know exactly what's around your neck.

Prong, bezel or mosaic: which setting fits
A prong setting holds the stone with small metal claws, lets in plenty of light and looks especially sparkly. A bezel setting wraps the stone completely in a metal rim, protecting the edge and giving a calmer, more modern look. Both hold up well for everyday wear, the choice comes down to taste.
For a denser, more modern look, a tennis chain can also be built as a mosaic setting, where stones of different sizes sit tightly side by side.
18k or 14k gold, which colour
18k gold has a higher purity and a richer colour, 14k is a bit harder and more robust for daily wear, especially on a chain that moves a lot. Both alloys come in white, yellow or rose gold, entirely up to your taste.
White gold sets off the stones with extra clarity, yellow gold feels warm and classic, rose sits in between and keeps getting more popular with younger clients. We show you all three side by side before you decide.
Clasp, security and care
A box clasp with a safety figure-eight is standard on a tennis chain, keeping it reliably closed even with daily wear. We check every clasp by hand before handover.
For care, warm water with a little dish soap and a soft toothbrush is usually enough, then dry well. Avoid chlorinated water and harsh cleaners, they can attack the setting and gold over the years.

Yes, lab-grown diamonds are chemically, physically and optically identical to natural diamonds, the only difference is how they formed. Every stone on your tennis chain comes with an independent certificate, usually IGI, confirming the quality in writing.
VVS describes a very high clarity grade, where inclusions are only visible under strong magnification. For a chain with many small stones this clarity isn't always worth it, we'll advise you where VVS actually makes a difference and where a lower clarity is enough.
Plan for two to four weeks from order, depending on width, length and stone availability. If you have a fixed date, a birthday or anniversary, tell us at the start so we can see together what's possible.
That depends a lot on width and length, a 2.5 mm chain wears noticeably lighter than a solid 5 mm version. We tell you the approximate weight before you order so you know how it will feel.
Yes, the chain is made to measure, common lengths run between 40 and 55 cm. It's best to measure an existing chain that fits you well, or come by the atelier where we measure in a few minutes.
For a delicate, frequently worn chain we often recommend 14k because it's a bit harder and more robust. For a richer colour and a heavier look, 18k fits better, we show you both samples side by side.
Clean it occasionally with warm water, a little dish soap and a soft brush, then dry well. Take it off for sports, saunas or chlorinated water, that way the setting and shine stay intact for years.
