Diamond wedding rings: the line that fits the two of you

Diamond wedding rings add a quiet accent to a promise meant to last. At émin in Zurich District 4 we show you how much or how little sparkle fits your life, from a single fine diamond line to a full eternity band, and how to match it with a partner ring that's allowed to stay plain.

An eternity band, half or fully set with stones, tells its own story. Some couples choose it directly as their wedding ring, others add it later alongside the engagement ring. We give you an honest read on which setting holds up in daily life, how it wears next to a solitaire, and what it actually costs before you decide.

Why a diamond in your wedding ring makes sense

Tested for daily life

A fine diamond line doesn't catch on gloves and stays securely set when you get hands-on, if we pick the right setting for you. We show you at the atelier what genuinely holds up for your hands.

From a single stone to full eternity

A single stone, a narrow line, or a band fully set with diamonds all the way round: you decide how much sparkle fits your life, not a template from a catalogue.

Certified, not just claimed

Every larger diamond in your wedding ring comes with an independent certificate, usually IGI. You see exactly what you're wearing and can have it checked at any time.

Settings for the diamond line compared

The setting decides how securely the stones sit and how the ring feels in daily life.

SettingHow it looksFor daily life
Channel settingStones sit flush between two rails, almost no edges to feelVery durable, good for hands that work a lot
PavéSmall stones set close together, reads as one continuous line of lightDelicate, needs a bit more care, more sensitive day to day
Bezel lineEach stone held individually in a slim rim, catches light from the sideEasy to clean, the rim is slightly noticeable

How to care for a diamond wedding ring

A diamond wedding ring goes with you every day, cooking, gardening, shaking hands. To keep the setting tight and the stones bright, it's worth a short check at the atelier about once a year, we inspect the setting free of charge while you're there.

Between appointments, warm water with a little dish soap and a soft toothbrush is usually enough to lift soap residue from under the setting. During your consultation we show you exactly what to watch for with your chosen setting, so the ring stays as beautiful as on day one.

Frequently asked questions

Plan for around three to five weeks from order, depending on the setting and stone availability. A more elaborate eternity setting with many small stones can take a little longer. Tell us your wedding date right at the start, so we can plan backwards together and you'll be ready in time.

Yes, a simple inner engraving with your names, a date or a few words is included in the price. On a fully set eternity band there's often little room inside for text, we show you honestly at the atelier how much actually fits before we engrave anything.

Yes, you try sample rings in different settings and widths before any work starts. That way you feel directly whether a pavé line or a channel setting sits right on your hand, and we then fit the exact size to you afterwards.

No, not at all. Many couples pair a ring with a fine diamond line with a completely plain partner ring. We match width, profile and metal so both rings are recognisably a pair, even when only one of them actually sparkles.

Within limits, yes. Most settings allow the ring to be adjusted by about half to one size without losing stones. For a very densely set band we discuss this in detail at the atelier before promising anything, so you know exactly what's realistically possible.

As a guide price, expect from CHF 3'600 for the pair, depending on setting, number of stones and metal. We break down every item openly before you decide, so there are no surprises on the invoice later and you know exactly what you're paying for.
