For her and for him

Diamond studs: small, but honestly done

Diamond studs are the quietest piece of jewellery that still says the most: a single, cleanly set stone you can wear every day. At émin we design diamond studs to measure, as a pair for women or as a single stud for a men's look, with stones from 0.3 to 1.5 carats per ear.

We show you the difference between a screw back and a push back, explain which carat size suits your ear, and calculate the price openly before you decide. No jargon, no pressure, just an honest conversation at the atelier in District 4 or by video.

Why choose studs from émin

Honest price per carat

We show you what the stone, setting and work each cost, no inflated price with a fake discount. You always know exactly what you're paying for.

For her and for him

Whether a pair for the ears or a single stud for a men's look: we design both to measure, in the size and setting that suits you.

Securely set

Every diamond sits in a setting checked for hold. Larger stones get a screw back so nothing gets lost.

One stud or a pair: the men's look

A single diamond stud is no longer a niche statement for men. Paired with a classic suit or a plain t-shirt, a small, clean stone reads confident without being loud. We advise you on whether 0.3 or 0.5 carats suits your ear and your style better.

For a pair, many people think of size first. The setting matters just as much: a four- or six-prong claw lets more light into the stone, while a bezel feels quieter and protects the edge better in daily wear. We show you both options right on your ear before you decide.

Which carat size suits your ear

A first point of reference. How a stone actually reads also depends on your ear shape and the distance to your face, something we're happy to check together.

Screw back or push back: what actually holds

A push back is easy to open and, for smaller, lighter stones up to about 0.5 carats, usually sufficient. It sits comfortably and doesn't bother even sensitive earlobes.

From about 0.7 carats we recommend a screw back. It can't be pulled out by accident, say when taking off a jumper or during sport, and gives you noticeably more security with a more valuable stone. We tell you honestly what makes sense for your size and your day-to-day, instead of automatically suggesting the pricier option.

Frequently asked questions

Yes, a single stud or a pair works equally well for women and men. We advise you on which carat size and setting suits your ear and your style, small stones often read more understated than you'd expect, while larger ones make a clear statement.

For smaller stones up to about 0.5 carats a push back is usually enough, it's comfortable and easy to open. From 0.7 carats we recommend a screw back, it sits more securely and stops a more valuable stone from getting lost in daily life. We show you both options at the atelier.

That depends on your ear shape, the distance to your face and your personal taste. As a guide: 0.3 to 0.5 carats read understated and work for everyday wear, from 0.7 carats the stone becomes clearly visible. It's best to try different sizes in person at the atelier or by video.

Both are real diamonds with the same chemical structure, the difference lies in how they formed. A lab-grown diamond costs noticeably less at the same size and quality, a natural diamond carries a longer history. We show you both side by side and explain the differences honestly, the choice is yours.

Larger stones almost always come with an independent certificate, usually IGI. For very small stones under about 0.2 carats, an individual certificate often isn't worthwhile, so we confirm quality and origin in writing on the invoice instead. We tell you in advance what makes sense for your size.

For a pair of diamond studs made to measure we usually plan one to three weeks, depending on the setting and stone availability. If you need them for a specific occasion, tell us right at the start so we can see together what's possible.

Yes, that's not a problem at all. Especially for men, a single stud is a popular, understated look. You only pay for that one stone and setting, and we advise you just as carefully as we would for a pair.
